'Conscription enters the workshop', 1916

'Conscription enters the workshop' by J.W. Kneeshaw of Birmingham Trades Council, 1916.

Kneeshaw was a strong opponent of conscription during the First World War and this was also the policy of the Trades Council. This pamphlet argues that the Military Service Acts were a threat to trade unions and to individual employment rights in the workplace.
