TUC-Labour Party Liaison Committee, 1978

The Liaison Committee was first established in 1971 as part of the campaign against the Industrial Relations Bill and continued as a forum for discussion between the TUC, Labour Party National Executive Committee and the Parliamentary Labour Party. The origins of the 'Social Contract' lay in a statement published by the Committee in February 1973.

'Into the Eighties: an agreement' covers a range of issues including industrial strategy, planning agreements and industrial democracy.
