Following an invitation from the Greek Confederation of Labour, a TUC delegation comprising G. Bagnall, G. Chester, J. Benstead, Walter Citrine and Ernest Bell visited Greece in January 1945 to advise on the re-establishment of free trade unions. A second TUC delegation visited in February to supervise trade union elections and the reconstitution of the Provisional Committee of the Confederation.
