This leaflet encourages unemployed workers to join a trades council unemployed association. The TUC set up the associations in 1927 and by the mid 1930s, there were just over 100 with a fluctuating membership of around 24,000 people. The unemployed associations were attached to local trades councils and offered advice on benefits, social and educational facilities as well as campaigning activities.
