Central Joint Advisory Committee on Tutorial classes, 1909

The Joint Committee was formed by 7 persons nominated by the Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University and 7 by the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) (formed 1903). The Committee was established following a conference held in Oxford in 1907 which produced a report entitled 'Oxford and Working Class Education'.
