International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, 1950

The TUC convened a Free World Labour Conference in County Hall, London 28 November - 7 December 1949 to establish a new international organisation. The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU) came into being on 7 December 1949.

This is a report (published in 1950) of the Conference and of the subsequent inaugural ICFTU Congress, 7 - 9 December 1949.
