TUC Delegation to the Soviet Union, 1924

The TUC delegation visited Russia, Ukraine the Caucasus and other areas of the Soviet Union between November-December 1924. This message from trade unionists in Soviet Central Asia to the 1924 TUC delegation starts: 'Dear comrades, we give you these robes of honour as a symbol of the friendship and fraternity between the Central Asian workers … and the English proletariat…May the Anglo-Soviet Trade Union Committee continue to be an indestructible power, on which the capitalists will break their teeth... Do not forget that millions of workers from the East extend their fraternal hand in solidarity to the proletariat of the West.’ The document is signed with the names Sadulayev, Khidyr-Aliev and Udarov.
