Russia’s call to humanity, 1919

This pamphlet, ‘Russia’s call to humanity – save our souls: an appeal to the Allies’, was written by the Russian playwright and novelist, Leonid Andreiev and published by the Russian Liberation Committee in 1919. Andreiev had supported the February but not the October Revolution and wrote this appeal for further Allied military intervention against the revolutionary government shortly before his death in exile in Finland. The Russian Liberation Committee was an anti-Bolshevik émigré organisation operating in London 1919-1924.
