Established in Moscow in 1924, the Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries disseminated information about Soviet scientific and technical accomplishments, art and literature, and helped Britons visit the Soviet Union. The front page shows an Uzbek woman removing her veil as a token of her emancipation.
