Extract from the minutes of the Gas Workers Defence Committee 20 February, 1873

The Committee agreed to support a draft bill proposed by the TUC Parliamentary Committee to repeal the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1871. The Liberal Government failed to alter the Law, however and it was the new Conservative Government which replaced the Act and the Old Master and Servant Law.
