Meeting organised by George Potter and other London union leaders in 1872 to support the New National Agricultural Labourers' Union

Speakers included the Liberal MPs, Samuel Morley and A.J. Mundella, Joseph Arch and George Mitchell from the NALU, the Catholic Archbishop (later Cardinal) Manning and Daniel Guile from the London Trades Council.

The immediate aim of the meeting was to raise financial aid for the new union, but also to secure further support for an extension of the franchise to agricultural workers.
