Bevin address

Ernest Bevin, Minister for Labour and National Service, gave regular broadcasts on the British Broadcasting Corporation Home and Overseas Services between 1940 and 1945. This broadcast made on 23 June, 1941, stresses the importance of improving efficiency and productivity in the coal industry and appeals to miners who have left to work in war factories to return to mining.
