Fusilier Donnini from Easington, County Durham was the youngest winner of the Victoria Cross during World War II. He was a junior packer with the Durham Cable Company and a member of the National Union of General and Municipal Workers. He joined the Royal Scots Fusiliers and was killed in Holland on January 18, 1945, aged nineteen. This obituary is from the Union's Journal for May 1945.
