TUC Equal Pay Conference, 1968

The 1968 Congress passed a resolution calling on the Government to ratify immediately the ILO conventions 100 and 111 on equal pay and opportunities and to give an undertaking to implement equal pay legislation within two years. It urged affiliates to support unions taking industrial action in support of the equal pay principle. This TUC Conference in November 1968 discussed the definition of equal pay and a strategy for implementation. This report is from the December 1968 issue of the TUC magazine Labour.
