'The trade unionist and the war', 1943

After 1940, the TUC became closely involved with almost every aspect of the war effort. There was an expansion of union representation on various governmental consultative bodies and, as illustrated in this pamphlet written by the TUC Publicity Officer, Herbert Tracy, former union officials played key roles in government administration.
