Press censorship, 1942

The author of this article in the National Union of Journalists' magazine, The Journalist from March 1942, warns against the threat of increasing Government controls over newspapers. In January, 1941, the Home Secretary had used Defence Regulations to close down the Daily Worker and impound its printing presses.
