Delegations from the All Union Central Council of Trade Unions of the USSR attended both the 1943 and 1944 TUC Congresses. After the 1944 Congress, this group from Russia visited coal mines, factories making tanks, guns and cotton fabrics, and the Cooperative Wholesale Society in Manchester. On 30 October 1944, they met the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.
