The Britain at Work oral history project currently includes interviews conducted by our London partners HISTORYtalk [now Britain at Work London Group], the Bishopsgate Institute and the London Metropolitan University Centre for Trade Union Studies. They have interviewed over 100 people, and a sample of interviews are available here. There are more to come in the future, so please return. The purpose of these interviews was to document working lives and trade union experiences during the period 1945 - 1995. You can choose to select interviews by surname, occupation, partner or by location, and you will then have access to an audio clip, a photograph, background details and a full transcript for each of the interviews.
